Sabine Pigalle

Sabine Pigalle was born in 1963 Rouen (France)and lives and works in Paris. 
She first studied French literature in the Sorbonne before becoming a photographer. 
Worked 4 years with Helmut Newton as a stylist, she became more and more a photographer. Her artistic work includes Toxi-Food, H2O, Beauty Sheets,
Paris<-->Tokyo, TimeQuaks.

Beauty Sheets:
In this photographic series, beauty imagery is shown as a discrepancy and plays ironically on the way standardized pictures and are used while slogans misused their meaning.   The growing appetite for eternal youth itself into a material quest relying on an idealized standard based on the least common denominator, as the stallion of a conformist society.
